Gerrards Cross Summer School 2010

Some scenes from the School

Somewhat mixed weather meant that opportunities to take refreshments outdoors were rather limited.

Nevertheless, we had some fine days so these people enjoyed having lunch outdoors.

Two of the several craft classes produced stunning work in quite different ways.

Our art classes are not the only source of visual attractions.   Every day Ann Tennant, helped by her talented team, tempts us to lunch with a dazzling and often topical menu board.  On this day, there was an important golf tournament in progress.  Your photographer does not follow golf so cannot remember what all the fuss was about, but many of those present knew all about it!

There were a nunber of art classes involving a range of skills - here are two of them,

Meanwhile, there is lunch to consider.  Ann, our talented caterer, likes to have a theme each day and one such theme was Emergency Rations.  Needless to say, the lunch showed no sign of emergency and the staff certainly were not comatosed!

Finally, here is an example of beautiful craft work by one of the students.  It was hard to choose from the lovely exhibits!

Of course, there were lots of classes that did not lend themselves to the production of an attractive picture to show you here, so you will have to imagine the close attention to the tutor's words, some with lots of pictures, some with music

We hope you will feature somewhere in a similar set of photographs in 2011.  See you then.
