at The Memorial Centre, East Common The 2011 Summer School is now closed, but very good progress has already been made on creating the 2012 programme of courses. People who have attended any of the 2011 courses will know how instructive, or interesting, or inspiring or just fascinating the sessions are.  You can be reminded of what was on offer in 2011 here. If you have just found this site then you are more than welcome to browse through the 2011 course list.  2012 will certainly be different in many respects but many of our tutors will be back as well as some new faces.  Without giving away any secrets, you can be certain that there will be sessions on Bridge and on Computer topics, both always popular.  Arts, both in lecture and in practical format, will be back, as will Crafts.  In fact, the programme will be as varied as ever! The Committee is grateful to all those students who gave us feedback during 2011 on both tutors and topics. The picture gallery of 2011 is under preparation and will have a link here quite soon.  In the meantime, you can still look at the 2010 gallery here. Regular visitors will know that our fully detailed brochure will be distributed early in 2012, probably in mid to late February, and that it is sent to all who attended in 2010 or 2011.  If you were not among those people, then we urge you contact us, as detailed here so that your name is added to the mailing list. You could, of course, watch out for this site to publish the same information simultaneously with the brochure distribution but be warned that popular classes are often sold out within just a few days of publication. dgbg 6/8/2011
